NC and Congress Forge Pre-Poll Alliance Ahead of J&K Assembly Elections

Srinagar, August 22: In a significant political development ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, the National Conference (NC) and the Congress have announced a pre-poll alliance. The news was confirmed by NC President Farooq Abdullah on Thursday.

After a meeting with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Abdullah addressed the media, stating, “I am pleased to announce that our parties have agreed to contest the elections together.” He emphasized that the discussions were held in a very cordial atmosphere, and both parties are confident that their alliance will lead to success in the upcoming elections.
