Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake Hits Jammu And Kashmir’s Doda
Doda, Oct 13: A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Chenab Valley this morning, with its epicenter in the Gundoh area of Doda district. The tremor was felt around 6:14 am, but it lasted for a brief period. A resident of Doda town shared, “We usually don’t feel moderate earthquakes like this, but today it woke us all up. The tremor was strong enough to keep us indoors.” Chenab Valley has experienced frequent earthquakes in recent years, with experts suggesting that such moderate tremors release pressure and reduce the likelihood of a major earthquake. No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
