Two unidentified militants killed in Bandipora encounter: Police
Srinagar, Sept 26 : Two militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out in Watrina locality of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday morning, police said.
An official told local news agency that a joint operation was launched in the area following the presence of militants.
He said that as the forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, hiding militants opened fire, triggering an encounter.
The official said that during the ensuing gunfight two unidentified militants have been killed, while search operation is going on.
Meanwhile, police on its official Twitter handle claimed that the militant involved in the killing of BJP leader Waseem Bari, his father and brother has been killed.

In another Tweet the police said: “BandiporaEncounterUpdate: 02 unidentified #terrorists killed. Search going on. #Incriminating materials including #arms & ammunition recovered. Further details shall follow.”
