Lady drowns to death in Pahalgam
Pahalgam.: A woman died after drowning in Nallah Lidru here in the Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Official Sources told Arising state that a lady namely Zeerana wife of Ashraf shaan resident of Amad Ashmuqam drowned in Lidder rivulet near Ziyarat Sarbal Pahalgam on Thursday morning.
He said that soon after the incident, a rescue operation was started, however, later, her body was fished out from the water, adding that the actual cause of her death is being ascertained.
However, police have registered a case and initiated proceedings.
