KVK Pulwama Reaching Every Household with Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan-Rural Credit Workshop under JKCIP
Pulwama: As part of its ongoing mission to empower farmers and promote inclusive agricultural development, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pulwama organized the 4th event of Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan-Rural Credit Workshop under JKCIP, at Drabgam village today on 21st august 2025. The event aimed to enhance awareness among farmers about institutional credit facilities, and government schemes available to them for agricultural development under JKCIP.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from large number of farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), PRI members, and local youth. Hon’ble MLA of Rajpora constituency Jinab Gh. Mohi UD Din Mir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and lauded the efforts of KVK Pulwama in empowering rural communities through such timely and relevant interventions.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA emphasized the importance of financial inclusion in accelerating agricultural growth and encouraged farmers to take advantage of schemes under the JK-CIP and other credit-linked programmes. He also assured full support from the government for initiatives aimed at rural upliftment and agricultural sustainability.
Officers from dept of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture and other allied sectors and allied departments, interacted with participants, highlighting the process of availing crop loans, Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), and subsidies under various central and UT-sponsored schemes.
Dr. Javed Ahmad Mugloo, Prof. & Head, KVK Pulwama, in his welcome address, briefed the audience about the objectives of the Kisan Sampark Abhiyaan and how rural credit can play a pivotal role in enhancing farm productivity and income. He urged the farming community to adopt innovative practices and avail the institutional support extended under government initiatives.
