Srinagar :  Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has expressed anguish over the shocking revelations of  nurses working at SKIMS for the problems  they have been facing amid COVID 19 on behalf of the administration there in terms of the laborious rosters, late night home reaching and  even risking the chastity of the daughters of the society.Chairman of JKCSF Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement to Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) said that JKCSF took the strong notice of the Female Nursing Staff who staged protest on Monday at Press Colony Srinagar against the alleged mismanagement viz newly introduced three tier shift system.

Wani said that the tearful-woes of the nurses shook the heart of everybody for why afterall the officers of the same society were so indifferent towards a highly sensitive scenario. Wani said that JKCSF is keeping a close vigil on the prevailing conditions of these nurses who have been working for safeguarding of life of people particularly in this pandemic risking their lives but not compromising with their duties.

Wani said every employee is a human and not a machine and when there is a definite system of work culture in which things like roster mechanism and rationalization are everywhere in vogue, JKCSF wonders why these nurses were so desperate to come on roads to vent out their pathetic tale of injustice, “This indicates the rule of autocracy in some of the institutions including SKIMS and was unacceptable and highly condemnable” he said

Wani urged the authorities that probe must be initiated into this matter that if the SKIMS administration as per the revelations of these nurses had been already apprised and appealed for the revival of the issue why administration had threatened them and why four of their colleagues were under suspension.

Wani demanded that a justified work culture be incorporated which would be suitable to the employees in general and these nurses particular from work places to their living places without any autocratic pressures.
