Interdepartmental Quiz Competition held in GDC Tral

Tral, 17 April: Department of Zoology in Collaboration with Department of Biochemistry Government Degree College Tral organized Interdepartmental Quiz Competition on Saturday to enhance the knowledge of the students regarding COVID-19.

Around 100 students from department of Zoology & Biochemistry of the college participated in the event.

The quiz competition was organized under the supervision of Principal Government Degree Colleg Tral Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Farooq Mir.

The programme was chaired by Dr. K. Mubashir Qayoom (HOD Biochemistry) and the quiz master was Dr. Suhail Jeelani (Lecturer Zoology) while the time keeper was Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Dar (Lecturer Biochemistry) Group-2 comprising of Mansha Ashraf & Misbah Manzoor of B.Sc. 3rd Semester
bagged First Position, Group-3 comprising of Talib Fayaz of B.SC. 3rd Semester & Zahid Farooq Shah of B.Sc. 2nd Semester stood Second.

The result was announced by Dr. Shaheen Khurshid (HOD Zoology) and prizes were awarded on the same day, while the vote of Thanks was Proposed by Dr. Shaheen Khurshid.

An official has said that the objective of the competition was to develop the spirit of competition among students and awareness of the latest happenings regarding COVID-19.

He said the department ambitiously looks ahead to organizing many more Quiz events in future.
