“Iconic Week Festival” celebrated in Islamic University Awantipora

Awantipora: With the motive to create awareness about ‘Sufism’ among the students and other participants, Islamic University of Science and Technology in Awantipora celebrated Iconic Week Festival on Sunday.
The programme was attended by a large number of students and staff members, while Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Romshoo, and Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal were also present.
The main guests and speakers of the programme were Prof. Abdul Majeed Andrabi, and Maulana Showkat Hussain, who threw light on different aspects of ‘Sufism’.
On that occasion, ‘Sufiyana Mausaki’ event was also conducted by the university, in which a group of artists sung some mystic songs to enthral the audiences.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Shakeel Ahmad Romshoo has said that “the motive of the programme was to create awareness about ‘Sufism’ among the people.”
He said that they invited some Scholars in the event, who shared information about ‘Sufism’ and its aspects among the participants.
Besides VC, Registrar, and other guests, Dr. Minja Khan, Dr. Monisa Qadiri (Media Advisor), Dr. Anisa Jan (Dean students), and Asmat Parveen (Principal, MMNMT) were also present.
