April 20 : The ongoing spell of heavy rainfall over the Ramban and Kishtwar districts is expected to persist until at least the afternoon today, according to weather officials.

In Kashmir Valley, another round of intense weather—marked by hailstorms, gusty winds, and thunderstorms—is likely to affect most areas starting from the afternoon to late afternoon. This is expected to be the final significant spell under the current weather system, with an overall improvement forecast from tomorrow.

While the water levels in the River Jhelum are projected to rise further, there is currently no major flood threat. However, authorities have cautioned that localized flash flooding in low-lying or vulnerable areas cannot be ruled out. Residents are advised to stay alert and follow advisories from local administrations.
