Govt promotes Section Officers as Under Secretaries in J&K Secretariat

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the regular promotion of Section Officers to the post of Under Secretary in the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service–I, in Pay Level–8 (47,6001,51,100).The promotions have been made on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, in reference to PSC Letter No. PSC/DPS/17g/2025-05 dated 29.12.2025, and notified vide Government Order No. 73-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated 16.01.2026. Accordingly, the following officers of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service have been promoted to the post of Under Secretary, with effect from the dates mentioned against each of their names:Ramesh Kumar Bhat, Kuldeep Raj (SC), and Ramesh Kumar Raina-I have been promoted with effect from 15 October 2024. Rajesh Kumar Sapolia and Salochina Koul have been promoted with effect from 18 June 2025. Pardeep Singh Samyal, Ayub Farooq Bhat, Nusrat Shah, Rajinder Kumar, Sham Lal, and Ishwar Dutt have been promoted with effect from 31 July 2025.The promotions shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending, before the competent court(s) of law.The order has been issued by the order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
