Four army men ,civilian killed in Pinglena Pulwama encounter

Four army men, including a Major, were killed in an encounter that broke out between millitants and security forces in Pinglena area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Monday, 18 February. The four personnel belonged to 55 Rashtriya Rifles.

According to reports, a civilian also lost his life in the encounter.Its suspected that Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Gazi has been trapped at the site as per initial reports.

The encounter comes days after 40 security forces  were killed in a deadly attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama’s Awantipora area on Thursday, 14 February. The attack was claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammad.
