International Film Festival of Srinagar gearing up for a bigger and better fourth edition
The International Film Festival of Srinagar (TIFFS), organized by Vomedh, today announced that its 4th edition will be held on 13–14 November 2025 in Srinagar, Kashmir. The festival has already received more than 100 film submissions from 20 countries, reaffirming its position as one of the fastest-growing cultural events in North India. The last date for film submissions is 30th September 2025.
Since its inception, TIFFS has played a pivotal role in establishing Srinagar as a hub of art, culture, and cinematic excellence. The previous editions have not only attracted entries from over 40 countries but also witnessed the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, at the opening and closing ceremonies. Recently, Co-Festival Director Rohit Bhat met and briefed Hon’ble LG Shri Manoj Sinha Ji about the upcoming 4th edition and extended a formal invitation for him to grace the opening ceremony in November.
The festival has also been graced by eminent Bollywood personalities including B. Subhash, Subhash Kapoor, Atul Tiwari, and Kapil Mattoo. Kapil Mattoo, whose maiden Kashmiri short film Haput premiered at the 2nd edition of TIFFS and went on to receive international acclaim, has been a consistent supporter and friend of the festival.
Opening the first press briefing, Co-Festival Director Rohit Bhat said, “What started as a humble initiative has today evolved into a movement that celebrates not just films, but also the creative spirit of Kashmir. TIFFS is about giving local talent a platform while bringing world cinema to Srinagar. This edition will be bigger and more impactful, building on the strong foundation of the past three years.”
Festival Director Rakesh Roshan Bhat added, “TIFFS has become a global platform for showcasing diverse cinematic voices while positioning Srinagar on the international festival map. With growing international participation, we are committed to celebrating cinema that inspires, engages, and connects people across borders.”
Sharing his perspective, Jury Head Manzoor Ahmad Mir remarked, “It is heartening to see filmmakers from across the world recognizing TIFFS as a credible platform. The quality of films submitted this year reflects how seriously the global community is taking the festival, and we look forward to curating an enriching experience for audiences.”

The festival is also witnessing strong collaborations this year. Pankaj Lidoo, Co-founder and Director of Landmark Crafts Pvt. Ltd. and Landmark Fasteners Pvt. Ltd., who is closely associated with TIFFS 2025, stated, “It is a privilege to be part of TIFFS, which has grown into a beacon of cultural pride for J&K. Our association is aimed at helping TIFFS scale newer heights and reach a larger global audience.”
Further strengthening its impact, Varun Sharma (Founder & CEO) and Saajan Kherni (Founder & COO) of Snowtales, an upcoming OTT platform dedicated to high-quality regional content from J&K, announced their association with TIFFS. “Snowtales’ collaboration with TIFFS will open up new avenues for young storytellers from the region. Our shared vision is to showcase authentic Kashmiri stories to the world and empower local talent with a platform that goes beyond the festival,” they said jointly.
Vomedh is a cultural and social organization committed to promoting art, literature, and theatre in Jammu & Kashmir. Over the years, it has created platforms that celebrate creativity and provide opportunities for young artists. Apart from TIFFS, Vomedh has successfully organized four editions of the Jammu Film Festival (JFF), which has also garnered national and international recognition. Together, JFF and TIFFS have positioned J&K as a vibrant hub of cinema and cultural dialogue.
