Encounter breaks out in Kathua

Jammu, Sep 28 : An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Rasani village of Kathua district on Saturday.

Officials sources said that an exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in Billawar area of Kathua district.

The encounter has started in Danu Parol area of the district, they said.

Officials said that joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation after having inputs about movement of some suspicious persons carrying weapons.

As the joint team approached towards the suspicious spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the search party, triggering gunfight.(KNO)
