DSP shot at in kanelwan Bijbehara succumbs to his injuries

Anantnag: Suspected militants shot at a police inspector in Sundpora Kanelwan area in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district Monday evening.

Sources said that that militants fired at a police inspector in Sundpora, Kanelwan area of Bijbehara left him critically injured.

The cop identified as inspector Mohammed Ashraf Bhat, a resident of Sundpora Kanelwan who is presently posted at Lethpora, Pulwama. And was recently promoted as DSP. He was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment however ,as per reports DSP has succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile ,the forces have cordoned off the whole area to nab the attackers.
