Tral, July 7: District Development Council (DDC) member Dr. Harbakash Singh on Monday visited various areas of Tral to review the progress of ongoing developmental works and to engage directly with local residents regarding their concerns and day-to-day challenges.

During the visit, Dr. Singh met with public delegations, and listened to their grievances. He assured them that their concerns would be raised with the concerned authorities for redressal.

Apart from developmental assessments, Dr. Singh also paid visits to the families of recently deceased individuals, including the residence of PDP zone president Qutub Din Shah. He offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity in their time of grief.

Commenting on the recent decision not to extend the summer vacation for schools in Kashmir, Dr. Singh expressed concern over the lack of basic cooling facilities in educational institutions. “School buses are not equipped with air-conditioning, and many schools still lack fans. The government should reconsider its decision,” he added.
