Covid-19: IGP Kashmir accompanied by IG CRPF visits several places of Srinagar city, reviews lockdown arrangements
Srinagar, May 21: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar-IPS on Friday visited several places of Srinagar City and reviewed lockdown arrangements. He was accompanied by IG CRPF Srinagar, DIG CKR, SSP Srinagar and other police & Security force officers.
In a statement issued, the police said that during the comprehensive tour of Srinagar City, IGP Kashmir visited Nishat, Fore Shore road, Habbak, Lalbazar, Zadibal, Nowhatta, Bhorikadal, Rajourikal (MirWaiz Manzil), Sakidafar, Qamarwari, Parimpora, Hyderpora, Baghat, Sanatnagar & Panthachowk areas.
The statement further stated that during the visit, both the IGs interacted with officers & police deployed on the ground and instructed them to strictly implement & enforce the guidelines and other lockdown orders on ground. IGP Kashmir said that aim of the lockdown is to protect lives of people & to stop spread of Covid-19 infection.
