Cop Shot At, injured in Bijbhera Anantnag, shifted to hospital

Srinagar, August, 12 : Suspected militants on Friday shot at and injured a Special Police Officer (SPO) at Kurkadal in Bijbhera area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

A top Police officer said that militants fired upon an SPO namely Ghulam Qadir inside Dara Shikoh Park KurKadal Bijbehra this afternoon.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be critical according to officials.

Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
