CASO in Mendhar enters into day 4

Search operation by a joint contingent of forces have entered into fourth day in Mendhar area of Jammu region, officials said.

They said searches by the SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Army’s 37RR, 38RR, 49RR and 156 TA were launched after some suspicious movement was observed in Totawali Gali and forest area of Gursai in Mendhar areas.

Officials added that besides contingent of forces, drones have been put in place to track the location of suspects. They further added the forces are heading slowly due to difficult terrain.

A senior police officer confirmed the searches and said the operation is underway.
