Budgam Police Attaches Property of Notorious Drug Peddler Worth ₹45 Lakhs in Beerwah

Budgam, November 21: In a decisive action against the drug menace, Budgam Police have attached immovable property worth approximately ₹45 lakhs belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the Beerwah area of the district.

The attached property, a single-storey residential house at Sadipora Beerwah belongs to Tanveer Ahmad Ganie, S/o Mohd Yousuf Ganie, who is involved in FIR Nos. 02/2022, 13/2023 and 65/2024 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Beerwah.

Investigation revealed that the accused had acquired the said property through proceeds of illegal narcotics trafficking. Following due legal process and based on concrete evidence, the property has been formally seized and attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

This action reflects Budgam Police’s sustained efforts and zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking. The general public is urged to share any information regarding drug peddling and support efforts to build a drug-free society.
