Budgam Police arrests 05 Drug Peddlers;112 KGs of Poppy Straw recovered & 03 vehicles seized

BUDGAM; 11th August: Continuing its efforts to rein in the menace of drugs from society, Budgam Police have arrested 05 drug peddlers & recovered 112 Kg of Poppy straw from their possession.

Police Station Budgam received Information about the activities of drug peddling in the Nasrullapora area of Budgam. Accordingly, police team of Police station Budgam rushed on the spot, arrested 05 persons and recovered 112 Kgs of Poppy Straw (fukki) from following 03 vehicles which were also seized in the said case .
01) Maruti 800 bearing registration No. JK01P 8028, 02)Mahindra Bolero bearing registration No. PB10GK 0237 03)Mahindra Bolero bearing registration No. PB10HT 2263.

The arrested persons have been identified as:-
01)Jugwinder Singh son of Jagtaar Singh resident of Gujrwal Ludhiana Punjab 02)Jagjeewan Singh son of Sukhsinder Singh resident of Gujrwal Ludhiana Punjab 03)Bailjinder Singh son of Pritpal Singh resident of Gujrwal Ludhiana Punjab 04) Baint Singh son of Paramjeet Singh resident of Mallah Ludhiana Punjab and 05)Karam Singh son of Randhir Singh resident of Maina Singhwala Mooga Punjab

Case FIR number 271/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Budgam & investigation taken up.
One notorious drug peddler fled from the spot shall be arrested soon.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
