The power outages occured after Power Development Department employees in Kashmir had gone on indefinite strike, a day back.
One of the locals told Arising State that patients who are dependent on oxygen concentrator have been facing hardships, as they are craving for electricity amid blackout.
A top official in the sub district was contacted for official version, related to the said issue, he however didn’t comment on it.
Meanwhile, DDC member Tral, Dr. Harbaksh Singh expressed concern over the issue, and said that “govt should talk to protesting employees of PDD at the earliest, and should resolve their genuine demands, so that people may not suffer more.”
It is pertinent to mention here that PDD employees of J&K are on indefinite strike for last two days, and are seeking redressal of their demands.
