BJP Govt breaks backbone of people of J&K with betrayal after betrayal in last seven years

Jammu: KPCC Vice President and former Minister Raman Bhalla Monday expressed strong resentment over denying admission to 12th pass students in Cluster University. He said , despite scoring good marks in 12th standard they aren’t getting admissions in the University. The student intake of the University is too less to admit them. They are moving College to College but getting denied everywhere. He requested LG and Vice Chancellor to help them take admission in Colleges of Jammu. The Cluster University Jammu has been bringing disgrace with each passing day as the meritorious students are allegedly being shunted out of admission merit list. Bhalla further aid that the main objective of setting up Cluster University to provide opportunities to the students for higher studies, has literally been defeated with the mismanagement of the administration, which has been harassing students by not giving admission. Those who had applied for the admission in Cluster University online was denied admission, despite having academic merits. Bhalla said several aggrieved parents approached him who were shocked to find out that their children name were dropped out of the merit list and low merit aspirants were given admission. 

 Interacting with aggrieved people of Balicharana area of Gandhi Nagar constituency, Bhalla castigated BJP Govt for indulging in rhetoric, saying they have caused colossal harm to the unity, amity and harmony of Jammu and Kashmir adding that the BJP has ditched Jammu.BJP badly failed in delivering and keeping up the promises when in power, and when out of it, they have started yet again exploiting public sentiment after pushing J&K into a political crisis, he said. Bhalla described the BJP as a spent force and said this party has lost the drive to serve the people because of its lust for power. BJP has ditched Jammu and left in lurch the people, especially those living in remote areas. The prices are soaring on a daily basis, leaving the people in a lot of misery,” he said. He claimed that this was because of the wrong policies of the BJP at the Centre and in Jammu and Kashmir.J&K is the only party that can satiate the socio-political aspirations of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and maintain unity and tranquility, which are facing a grave threat,” he said. He said Congress will foil all these machinations with full might to protect the identity and interests of the people of J&K.

  BJP is suffering from a peculiar mind block, which does not allow it to see beyond myopic political agenda that is fraught with danger of dividing the society and dismantling the unity”, Bhalla said  .He described the BJP as a polarizing agent in the political spectrum across the country and said the people of Jammu and Kashmir would not allow it to play with the time tested amity and singular entity of J&K. He said seven years of BJP government, instead of steering J&K to development and peace, pushed it backwards.The insensitive dispensation stands testimony to failures and generating passions on regional and religious lines, he said and decried the BJPs divisive politics, adding the party is doing most disservice to the religion by invoking self created agenda.  This is detrimental to the unity of the country as also J&K”, he said, adding that governance deficit, growing unemployment and developmental inertia has left people of J&K highly disillusioned.On the contrary, Bhalla said Congress has a cherished record of public service which is discernible by the development undertaken under Congress Govt in J&K.

 Bhalla  said that the BJP has lost the moral right to go to Jammu people after betrayal after betrayal. He accused the Union government of reducing status of people of the region to “fourth class citizens” even when they voted the party to power in Assembly and Parliamentary polls. The honour of people of Jammu has been compromised and downgraded by the leaders who claimed to be the champion of their cause in the region. BJP climbed political ladder raising voice against discrimination with people of this region. They ended up doing same disparity with the people who voted them to power to rule the country,” said Bhalla.Coming down heavily on BJP leadership for indulging into misinformation campaign against Congress, Bhalla said that it is all due to the concerted efforts of Congress that India is on the path of prosperity.  BJP is just inaugurating the mega projects which were built and completed by Congress party,” pointed out Bhalla.Firing a salvo on the BJP leadership, Bhalla said Jammu people are now realizing their mistake committed in 2014 and 2019 as these people who were sent by the voters to raise their voice, kept mum and the public voice remained unheard so far. He hoped that the people of Jammu will surely correct the past mistake and reject such opportunists and exploiters and show them their place in the future elections.

 Bhalla criticized BJP Govt, saying that no section of people in J&K is satisfied with the Government as dissatisfaction and disappointment are the gifts to people of J&K by BJP.He said, J&K over the course of seven years has seen massive protests, demonstrations and strikes against BJP from different groups of people for their anti-people and anti-Jammu policies.  From economic distress to emerging social disparities to outright suppression of democratic rights, J&K has been suffering terribly, he added.He expressed concerns that each section of society in J&K has felt betrayed and cheated by BJP Government and administration. “From 2019 to present time, a wave of protests by varied segments of our population has expressed strong concerns regarding one or another issue. From farmers, daily-wagers to unemployed youths, the only option left for them is to protest,” he added.Bhalla  said that casual labourers and daily-wagers of all Government departments have been drastically affected by overdue payments, lack of regularization measures, regional-biased employment opportunities apart from pandemic.He urged that demands of various protesting groups such as PDD and PHE workers be accepted at the earliest. He further said that after numerous strikes, protests and demonstrations, the Government still failed to address their issues. Bhalla said that people’s dissatisfaction and disappointment against BJP is immense, as promises have been broken and lies have been told.He said that the party will show solidarity to all those who have been wronged by Government and will strive to help these people amplify their voices.
