Awantipora Police arrests notorious Drug Peddler in Pampore

Awantipora 07 Nov: While continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested one notorious drug peddler from the Pampore area on Monday.

As per the press release, acting on information Awantipora Police placed a special Naka near Kadlabal Pampore and arrested notorious drug peddler Firdous Ahmad Mir (Fira Codeine) S/O Ghulam Hassan Mir resident of Kadlabal Pampore.

The press release reads that “20 grams of a contraband psychotropic substance suspected to be Heroin, 25 bottles of controlled drug Codeine Phosphate based syrup and Cash amount of Rs 22,000 was recovered from the possession of the arrested person.”

Meanwhile, Case FIR Number 98/2020 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.

“Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” police said in a statement.
