Ashraf Sehrai, laid to rest at native place Kupwara
77 -year-old, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammed Ashraf Sehrai, who died earlier at Government Medical College Jammu (GMC) laid to rest in Tekipora village of Lolab area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The late Hurriyat leader has been laid to rest at his native place as per covid protocol in presence of family members, says Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
Hurriyat chairman, Mohammed Ashraf Sehrai, was admitted at GMC Jammu from Kot Bhalwal jail after his health start deteriorating, where he breathed his last.
Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, tested positive for covid-19 posthumously, official sources said.
The rapid test had declared him negative for covid-19 on rapid tests, however, his swab came positive for the pathogen after his death, officials added.
