Fire breaks out in GMC Baramulla, one block damaged

A fire broke out in Government Medical College Baramulla on Monday afternoon leaving one of the block of the hospital completely damaged, officials said.

An official told news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com -(KDC) that Panic gripped GMC Baramulla Hospital for some time after the fire broke out here on Monday afternoon.

However, due to the timely intervention of the Fire department, the fire was taken under control and was stopped from spreading further, said the officials.

“All the patients and their attendants are safe,’ added the officials.

A top police officer while confirming the incident said that the cause of fire was not immediately known; however, investigations are on to find it
