Elderly man dies after hit by a speedy bike

An elderly man who was hit by a biker succumbed to his injuries this morning.

On Sunday, an unknown speed bike hit an elderly man from the Ganderpora Safakadal area of Srinagar. The man identified as 80-year-old Ghulam Muhammad Lone sustained head injuries and was shifted to SMHS Hospital.

Today he succumbed to his injuries.

The man who was a respectable figure in his locality was a Mouzzin and is survived by his ailing wife, three sons, and three daughters.

Locals demanded the arrest of the bike rider. They said the elderly man became a victim of rash driving.

A police official told a local news agency that a case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused bike rider.
