Ashok Bhan is new Advisor to J&K Governor and K Vijay Kumar is new Governor of Uttrakhand
Highly placed sources on Thursday said that Former DGP rank officer of J&K cadre Ashok Bhan is likely to be appointed as 6th advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik,
while as Advisor home J&K, K Vijay Kumar, may be appointed as governor of Uttrakhand.
Ashok Bhan (70 yrs)is a retired Indian Police Service officer (J&K-1976). A Ph.D. in Botany, Dr. Bhan held important positions in Jammu and Kashmir State Government including that of the Commissioner of Vigilance, Director General of Police (Intelligence) Director General of Police (Prisons). After his retirement, he served as a Member of the national security advisory board (2010-2012) and a Member of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (2012-18), Intelligence and Anti-corruption. During his service career, he acquired expertise in Anti-Terrorist operations, Issues related to governance, the security of VIPs and Vital Installations, Recruitment and Training.
The other advisors to the Governor include, recently appointed Farook Ahmed Khan, KK Sharma, Khursheed Ganaie and K Skandan.
