CM Omar Seeks Action Against Culprits After Kashmiri Bus Allegedly Attacked in Kurukshetra
Srinagar, Oct 18 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday condemned the alleged stone-pelting attack on a bus carrying Kashmiri passengers in Haryana’s Kurukshetra district, saying the “unfortunate incident should never have taken place.”
In a post on X, CM Omar urged the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Nayab Saini, and the state police to arrest the culprits and take action to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
“I hope the Haryana government led by @NayabSainiBJP ji & @police_haryana catch the culprits & take action to ensure these things don’t happen again,” he said.
The National Conference (NC) spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar also took to social media to condemn the alleged attack, terming it a “hate crime.” He said stones and bricks were pelted on a Kashmir-bound bus (bearing a JK registration number) on the Delhi-Srinagar route near Kurukshetra.
“One elderly Kashmiri man injured in the attack, families left helpless and terrified. We condemn the murderous attack on innocent people and demand action against the perpetrators,” Dar said.
He requested the Haryana Police to take cognizance of the event, identify the culprits and initiate action against them. (KNS)
