New Delhi, Aug 17 : BJP president Nitin Nabin on Monday announced a major organisational reshuffle, appointing 13 national vice presidents and new chiefs for the party’s frontal organisations, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s social and regional outreach ahead of the upcoming electoral battles.

Among the 13 vice presidents appointed are former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, and senior leaders Ram Madhav and Baijyant Jay Panda. The party has also given significant representation to women, with D Purandeshwari (Andhra Pradesh), Rekha Verma (Uttar Pradesh), Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi (Gujarat), and Bharti Pravin Pawar (Maharashtra) finding a place in the top rung. The inclusion of Sardar Manpreet Singh Badal from Punjab, Lal Singh Arya from Madhya Pradesh, Prof M Nagaraja from Karnataka, Prof Tariq Mansoor from Uttar Pradesh, and Dr Madhuchandra Kar from West Bengal is seen as an attempt to balance caste and regional equations.
The party also appointed new chiefs for its seven morchas. Dr Hemang Joshi will head the Yuva Morcha, while Roop Kumari Choudhary has been given charge of the Mahila Morcha. Amarpal Maurya will lead the OBC Morcha, Bansilal Gurjar the Kisan Morcha, Shivesh Kumar Ram the SC Morcha, Dr Mannalal Rawat the ST Morcha, and Kunwar Basit Ali the Minority Morcha.
All appointments take effect immediately, the party said in a statement.
The reshuffle comes as the BJP looks to consolidate its organisational structure and expand its footprint across states, with a focus on reaching out to women, youth, farmers, and other key social groups.
