IGP Kashmir Assigned Additional Charge of J&K Armed Wing

Srinagar, June 23rd : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V.K. Birdi, (IPS) has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of heading the Armed Wing of Jammu and Kashmir following the transfer of ADGP Anand Jain as Director General of Police (DGP), Ladakh.

An official order issued by the Police Headquarters said Birdi will continue to oversee the Armed Wing alongside his existing duties until further orders. The arrangement has been approved by the Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir.
