Fire Guts Bakery at Hyderpora Chowk; No Injuries Reported
Srinagar, Jan 11 : A fire broke out at the busy Hyderpora Chowk in Srinagar on Sunday, damaging a double-storeyed bakery building, officials said.
The blaze erupted in a bread-making unit, triggering a swift response from the Fire and Emergency Services department. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and firefighters managed to control the flames in time, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures in the congested area.
While no injuries were reported, the fire caused damage to property. Officials said the extent of losses is being assessed.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
