Amit Shah to Hold High-Level Meeting on J&K Security, Border Management
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will on Thursday chair a high-level meeting in New Delhi to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Wednesday.
The meeting will be attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, top officers of paramilitary forces, intelligence agencies, and senior officials from the civil and police administration of the Union Territory.
According to official sources, the discussions will focus on the overall security scenario, including counter-terrorism operations, border management, and the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior officers are expected to brief the Home Minister on ongoing counter-terror operations, measures to prevent infiltration along the Line of Control and the International Border, and steps taken during the winter months to strengthen security arrangements.
