Srinagar, December 29 : Police on Monday said that it has issued a safety advisory following an unauthorized trekking incident in the Danwas forest area on December 21.
In a handout police said that to ensure public safety and prevent security misunderstandings, the following rules are now in effect.
Local Residents, must seek the requisite permissions from local authorities and inform the local police or administration before entering upper forest reaches.
Non-Local Tourists entry and trekking in upper forest areas are strictly prohibited under all circumstances.
Baramulla Police urges the public to cooperate with these instructions to maintain a secure environment and avoid untoward incidents, reads the statement.
