Govt Appoints New Principal & Additional Family Court Judges in Jammu and Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 21 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered fresh appointments to key positions in the Family Courts, following recommendations from the High Court of J&K and Ladakh.

According to an official order issued by Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs the administration has appointed Ms. Sandeep Kour, District Judge, as Principal Judge, Family Court Jammu, while Preet Simran Kour, 4th Additional District & Sessions Judge Srinagar, has been posted as Additional Judge, Family Court Srinagar.

The appointments have been made under Section 4(1) of the Family Courts Act, 1984, and come in supersession of a previous government order issued on May 1, 2023, officials added.
