J&K Govt Assigns Additional Charges to SEs, XENs in Jal Shakti Department

JAMMU, Nov 17: The Jal Shakti Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned additional responsibilities to three Superintendent Engineers (SEs) and as many Executive Engineers (XENs) in the interest of administration.As per the  order copy lying with Arising state ,the order states:

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a major reshuffle in the Jal Shakti Department by assigning additional charges to several vacant posts of Superintending Engineers (SEs) and Executive Engineers (XENs).

According to Government Order No. 258-JK(JSD) of 2025, issued by the Jal Shakti Department, the following officers have been given additional responsibilities in the interest of administration:

Superintending Engineers (SEs):

• The Technical Advisor, Jal Jeevan Mission Jammu will hold additional charge of SE Hydraulic Circle Rajouri.

• SE, RTIC Jammu will also hold additional charge of Ravi Tawi Construction Circle Jammu.

• SE PHE Mechanical Circle (North) Srinagar gets additional charge of another SE post.

• SE I&FC Mechanical Circle Jammu and SE I&FC Mechanical Circle Srinagar will hold additional charges of their respective vacant positions.

Executive Engineers (XENs):

Additional charges have also been assigned for vacant XEN posts, including:

• Irrigation Division Kathua

• Ravi Canal Construction Upper Division Kathua

• Irrigation Division No. 2 Jammu

• Flood Control Division Jammu

• Ravi Canal Construction Lower Division Hiranagar

• Flood Control Division Samba

The order also instructs District Election Officers of Jammu and Budgam not to assign any election duties to officers whose jurisdictions fall in constituencies where bye-elections are scheduled.
