Veteran Journalist Tariq Ahmad Bhat, J&K Bureau Chief of The Week, Passes Away

Srinagar, Nov 4 : The media fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir was plunged into mourning on Monday following the sudden demise of Tariq Ahmad Bhat, the Jammu and Kashmir Bureau Chief of The Week magazine, who passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest.

A seasoned journalist with decades of distinguished service, Bhat was widely respected for his integrity, depth of analysis, and commitment to factual, balanced reporting. Over the years, he had become a trusted voice on political and social affairs in the region.

Colleagues and contemporaries remembered him as a gracious mentor and consummate professional, whose work left a lasting impact on journalism in Kashmir. His untimely passing, they said, marks an irreparable loss to the journalistic community.
