Heavy Rains Cause Waterlogging in Kaigam, Awantipora; Rescue Operations Underway
Awantipora, Sept 3: Heavy rainfall in Kashmir has led to severe waterlogging in the Kaigam area of Awantipora after water from a nearby waterbody overflowed and entered the village. The sudden accumulation of water has affected the road and residential area, causing disruption to daily life and raising concerns among locals.
In response to the situation, swift action was taken by the administration. Teams from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Home Guards, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local volunteers were promptly deployed to the area. Rescue operations are currently underway to ensure the safety of residents and to assist those affected by the flooding.
Meanwhile, residents across Kashmir have been advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions as the valley continues to experience harsh weather conditions.
