Addressing a workers’ convention in Shopian, Rana accused the central government of making “empty promises” and “lying repeatedly” on key commitments, including the restoration of J&K’s statehood, which he described as “our right.”
Highlighting his department’s achievements, Rana said that the Jal Shakti Department in J&K has completed the maximum number of schemes under his tenure. However, he noted that the department’s liabilities have grown significantly — from 4,000 crore when he assumed office to 11,000 crore at present.
Rana assured that his administration would ensure accountability in environmental violations and continue work towards the region’s developmental goals.(
