Inclusive Education Boosted: CEO Pulwama Organizes CWSN Distribution Camp in Tral Under SAMAGRA Shiksha

Pulwama, (Press Release): The Distribution Camp for CWSN (Children With Special Needs) was organized today on 07-08-2025 in Zone Tral by the Chief Education Officer Pulwama for Inclusive Education under SAMAGRA Shiksha with a sharp focus on inclusion, equity, and empowerment of CWS.

The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Harbakash Singh DDC Chairman (Standing Committee for Health and Education) who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He lauded the efforts being made towards inclusive education and resilience, and potential of children with special needs.

He emphasized that education must be accessible and empowering for every child, regardless of their physical or cognitive challenges

The Zonal Education Officer, Tral, Ehsan Ul Haq, extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and emphasized the importance of accessibility, early interventions and equal opportunities for all children irrespective of their abilities.

In the event was the distribution of aids and appliances to 90 identified CWSN students from Zone Awantipora, Lurgam & Tral as recommended during assessment cum measurement camp conducted earlier by the Exports/ Specialists in collaboration with ALIMCO.

Following this event, Dr. Harbakash Singh , Principal GHSS Tral along with Zonal Education Officers, Awantipora, Lurgam & Tral and other dignitaries distributed the Aids and Appliances among CWSN Children of concerned zones with their gracious hands, symbolizing support and compassion towards these specially-abled children.

At last, but not least this event was the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of the Special Educators and Resource Persons (RPs) under the supervision of District Coordinator (as a Team) from ground-level assessments, coordination with ALIMCO, follow-up with parents, to ensuring seamless logistics and support at the venue and make this camp a grand success, inclusive, and valuable for each beneficiary child. Their contribution reflected true professionalism, compassion, and the spirit of inclusive education envisioned under NEP 2020 and their leadership in organizing this event will serve as an inspiration to the entire educational community in Pulwama.
