Director Social Welfare Jammu visits Child Care Institutions in Poonch

POONCH, AUGUST 03: Director Social Welfare Jammu, Gurpal Singh, conducted an official visit to Poonch district to review the functioning of Child Care Institutions.

During the visit, the Director inspected “Palash” and “Parisha”, key Child Care Institutions operating in the district. He interacted with the children and staff, assessed the facilities and reviewed the services being provided to ensure compliance with child protection norms and welfare standards.

The visit highlighted the department’s commitment to strengthening the care, protection and development of children in institutional settings.

The Director emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in infrastructure, care and support services to ensure the well-being of children under institutional care.

He was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Poonch, Khalil A. Banday along with the staff of the Social Welfare Department Poonch.
