Dr. Harbaksh Singh Distributes School Bags, Assures Educational Infrastructure Support in Pampore
Pampore, July 25 : Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Founder President of Amrit Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Health and Education, District Pulwama, visited Government Boys Middle School Namblibal Pampore and Government Primary School Lethpora today. During the visit, he distributed school bags and stationery kits among meritorious and deserving students.
Dr. Singh praised the commendable performance of both students and staff, despite facing infrastructural challenges. He assured that, in his official capacity, urgent steps would be taken to address deficiencies and improve the learning environment.
Expressing gratitude to the Kochhar Foundation for consistently supporting educational initiatives by providing school bags and establishing digital classrooms, Dr. Singh also thanked the Kalyan Trust for last year’s stationery kits. He announced that similar support would continue in the coming days, with more school bags distributed to deserving students.
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen digital learning, Amrit Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Kochhar Foundation, has already set up two digital classrooms—one at High School Khaleel and another at High School Rathsuna—and plans to establish another this year. Dr. Singh emphasized the Trust’s commitment to setting up at least one new digital classroom annually in the Tral area.
The event was attended by DDC Member Kakapora Ab Qayoom Mir, Principal Girls Higher Secondary School Pampore, Vice Principal Government Higher Secondary Pampore, ZEPO Pampore, and the President of the Teachers Forum, Zone Pampore, who extended their support and appreciation for the initiative.
