Crusher Owners in Wuyan Pampore Hold Peaceful Protest Against Shutdown of Units
Pulwama: Crusher unit owners from the Wuyan area of Pampore held a peaceful protest today, led by senior Congress leader Zamir Farooq.
The protesters expressed strong resentment over the recent sealing of crusher units in Khrew, Wuyan, and other nearby areas by the local administration.
They stated that the closure of these units has severely affected the livelihoods of many people in the area. Congress leader Zamir Farooq called the administration’s action unjust, noting that it has impacted not only the owners but also the laborers working at these units, who are now facing serious hardships.
He further revealed that electricity and water connections to the crusher units have been disconnected, leaving the workers deprived of basic necessities such as drinking water.
Zamir Farooq appealed to the district administration to immediately lift the ban on the crusher units, so that the large number of people who depend on them for their livelihood can resume their work and sustain their economic well-being.
