Srinagar Police Conducts Comprehensive Mock Drill in Dal Lake to Boost Emergency Preparedness
Srinagar, May 6 : In a significant step towards enhancing emergency response capabilities, the Srinagar Police, in collaboration with the Tourist Police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), conducted a large-scale mock drill in Dal Lake today. The exercise aimed at testing and improving preparedness for critical scenarios such as boat capsizing and drowning incidents.
Equipped with advanced gear and rescue equipment, teams from the Srinagar Police, Tourist Police, and SDRF carried out real-time rescue operations, simulating various emergency situations. The drill was conducted in strict adherence to established safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure effective coordination during actual emergencies.
Senior police officials, including SSP Enforcement, SP Zone East Srinagar, SP Headquarters Srinagar, DySP Headquarters Srinagar, and DySP SDRF, supervised the exercise, assessing the readiness and efficiency of the response teams.
The SDRF has also stepped up its capacity building efforts and strengthened logistical support mechanisms to tackle any potential future contingencies.
