Militants fire upon Army vehicle in Poonch, 3 jawans killed

Jammu, Dec 21(KNO):  Three Soldiers were killed while three more were injured in an encounter in the Surankote area of Poonch on Thursday evening.

An army official said that an operation has been conducted in the general area DKG(Dera ki Gali) since 20 December 23.

He said that at around 3:45 PM on 21 December, two army vehicles carrying troops were moving to the operational site, which were fired upon by the terrorists.

The fire was immediately retaliated upon by own troops, he said, adding that the ongoing operation, own troops sustained 3 Fatal and 3 non fatal casualties.
