DSEK revises timings for city schools
Following the public outrage over directorate of school education Kashmir’s (DSEK )previous order regarding the timing of schools within the municipal limits of Srinagar city from 8:30am to 2:30 pm, DSEK on Wednesday modified its order and asked educational institutions in Srinagar to continue with the old timings.
As per the new order, the schools within Srinagar Municipal limits will continue to function from 9am to 3pm. “The order shall be adhered to strictly by all concerned institutions,” reads the DSEK order. President Private School Association GN Var told Arising State that the association held a detailed meeting with Director education Kashmir over the issue. “It was in illogical order and devoid of any application of mind. It could not be implemented,” Var said. Var said after their meeting with th Director Education they were ordered to continue with the old timing.
