BURGLARY CASES SOLVED BY AWANTIPORA POLICE, STOLEN CASH RECOVERED

Awantipora, 07 October, 2023

Police Station Awantipora received written applications from Irshad Ahmad Mir R/O Chandrigam Awantipora and Manzoor Ahmad Kuchay R/O Barsoo Awantipora, complaining therein that some unknown burglars have stolen cash from their CSC Centres located at village Chandrigam and Barsoo .

Accordingly, case FIR Nos: 197/2023 and 198/2023 U/S 454, 380 IPC were registered in Police Station Awantipora and investigation set into motion.

During the course of investigation efforts were put forth by the SHO Awantipora Inspector Irshad Ahamd under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti-JKPS including detailed inspection of scene of crime, analysis of CCTV footage etc. One involved accused was identified and arrested as Rameez Ahmad Naik S/O Gh Mohd Naik R/O Bhan Kulgam.

During questioning the arrested accussed disclosed the incidental occurance and Stolen cash of rupees 150000/= was recovered from him and seized.

Any discrepancy, authentication failure or technical issue is required to be reported immediately through the official email IDs issued by the department. The circular further stated that the respective Maker/Checker users will be held solely accountable for any transaction or activity carried out using their credentials.The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority under reference number FD-BDGTODBT/1/2025-PMU-FD (7651222), and copies have been forwarded to all Administrative Secretaries for information and necessary compliance.
