Amit Shah Arrives at Lal Chowk to Inaugurate ‘Balidan Stambh’ Foundation Stone
Srinagar, June 24 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a 2-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. During his visit, he visited Lal Chowk area of Srinagar to lay the foundation stone for “Balidan Stambh.” The visit to Lal Chowk took place on Saturday morning and was conducted under tight security. Amit Shah was accompanied by LG Manoj Sinha and other senior officers of the police and civil administration.
Earlier in the morning, Shah visited Baltal to assess the preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which is set to commence from July 01. The purpose of his visit was to take stock of the ongoing arrangements and ensure everything is in order for the annual pilgrimage.
On the first day of his visit, Shah arrived in Jammu where he addressed a massive rally. Later, he traveled to Srinagar to attend an event at SKICC Srinagar. Following the event, he chaired a security review meeting specifically focused on the Amarnath Yatra.(KNO)
