SDM Duroo thrashed by Army, DC Anantnag rushes to spot

Anantnag: Army on Tuesday allegedly thrashed a sub district magistrate and damaged his official vehicle following an argument with the Army officer in Ujroo area of the district Anantnag in South Kashmir. .

According to sources SDM Duroo, Ghulam Rasool Wani, was on his way to Qazigund.

“He was stopped by  Army near Ujroo and had an argument with the Army officer” sources said.

The Army officer allegedly manhandled the SDM and damaged his vehicle.

A police official wishing anonymity, confirmed the incident and said that Deputy commissioner Anantnag has rushed to the place.

“The meeting of the officials in underway,” he said.
