Forces launch search operation in north Kashmir’s Sopore

Security forces on Friday launched a cordon and search operation at a village in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 52 RR, SOG Sopore and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in Amberpora Tarzoo village of Sopore this morning.

Forces have been deployed in strength in the area and they were carrying out door to door searches,as per locals.

‘The searches were launched after specific  information about the presence of militants in the area’, said an official.
