Kulgam Gunfight: One Army Personnel Injured, Operation Continues

Srinagar, August 05: An Army trooper has been injured in an ongoing gunfight in Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.

A top police officer told that a army personnel was injured in an ongoing anti-militancy operation in Redwani.

He was immediately evacuated to nearby hospital, where his condition is said to be stable, the officer added.

Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the Redwani area.

As the joint team of forces intensified searches, the hiding militants fired upon the forces leading to an encounter.
